What the quiz teaches
Every price is a claim about probability. A price of +200 says an outcome should happen about one time in three. If you think it happens more often than that, the price is worth backing. If you think it happens less often, pass. The quiz gives you the chance in the text of each scenario, so the question is only whether you can compare it with the price.
The scenarios are built to show that a price that feels exciting is not the same as a price that is worth backing. A heavy favorite can be good value and a thrilling long shot can be a poor price.
How the scoring works
Your call is right when backing the price has positive expected value, with a small allowance so that very close prices do not count either way. Cash-out scenarios ask whether to take an offer or let the bet run. Some scenarios are a trap with no right price at all, such as a tipster selling sure things. Each run mixes hand-written scenarios with ones that draw new prices, so no two runs match.
The virtual bankroll moves with random outcomes, so a right call can still lose and a wrong call can still win. That is the point. A good decision is not the same as a good result, and over many bets the first matters more.
Where to go next
If the numbers felt slippery, start with American odds explained, then check any price on the odds calculator, which converts it to an implied probability and shows the break-even rate. To see what a welcome offer is worth, use the bonus value calculator.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a betting game?
No. Nothing is staked and no money is involved. The bankroll is a counter that shows how random outcomes work.
Are the chances real match data?
No. They are training figures chosen to make the arithmetic clear. Real chances are never known, and your own estimate can be wrong.
Why does the price show as American odds?
Because that is what US sportsbooks show. The calculation inside works on the same numbers in decimal form.
Does the quiz store my answers?
No. Nothing is stored or sent. It runs in your browser and resets when you reload the page.
